Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan Discuss Expanding Media Cooperation at Shusha Global Media Forum

Shusha, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral media cooperation during a meeting held on the sidelines of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum.

The discussions took place between Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, and Sherzodkhon Kudratkhoja, Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Board of Trustees of the Public Foundation for Support and Development of National Mass Media.

The two sides reviewed the growing strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and emphasized the important role of the media in fostering closer ties, promoting mutual understanding, and expanding cooperation between the two countries. They exchanged views on enhancing collaboration between media organizations, encouraging the exchange of professional expertise, and implementing joint initiatives aimed at strengthening information cooperation.

The meeting also highlighted the significance of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum as a platform for promoting dialogue among media professionals and policymakers from across the world, while facilitating discussions on emerging trends and challenges in the global information landscape.

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have witnessed steadily expanding cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian sectors in recent years, with media collaboration increasingly viewed as an important pillar of their strategic partnership.
