Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Expresses Strong Solidarity and Support for Pakistan

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, to discuss the evolving regional security situation, with particular focus on rising tensions between Pakistan and India.
According to an official statement, Minister Dar provided a detailed briefing on the recent rocket attacks launched by India on Pakistani territory between May 6 and 7. He emphasized that the strikes had primarily targeted civilian areas, resulting in significant casualties. In response, he stated that Pakistan had undertaken retaliatory measures focused on Indian military installations.
Minister Dar also noted that he had engaged in discussions with the foreign ministers of several countries to present a comprehensive overview of the situation and garner international attention to the developments.
Expressing deep concern, Minister Bayramov conveyed Azerbaijan’s solidarity with the people of Pakistan and strongly condemned the military attacks that caused civilian loss of life. He underscored the importance of de-escalating tensions and voiced hope that the current situation could be resolved through diplomatic means and constructive dialogue.
In addition to regional security issues, the two ministers also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest, reaffirming the close and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
