Turkmen President Extends Congratulations to Friedrich Merz on Election as German Chancellor

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Friedrich Merz on his election as Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, according to a statement released by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan on Thursday.

In his congratulatory message, President Berdimuhamedov highlighted the steadily strengthening and mutually beneficial relations between Turkmenistan and Germany. He expressed firm confidence that the friendly ties and constructive cooperation between the two countries would continue to grow and reach new heights through joint efforts.

The Turkmen leader also conveyed his sincere wishes to Chancellor Merz for good health, personal happiness, well-being, and great success in his new and responsible role.

Friedrich Merz, the leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Christian Social Union (CSU), was elected Federal Chancellor following the second round of voting in the Bundestag on May 6. His election marks a new chapter in Germany’s political landscape.
