Egypt Launches Largest Humanitarian Aid Convoy for Gaza

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has announced the launch of the largest humanitarian aid convoy to support Palestinians in Gaza, describing it as a response to the “call of humanity” and a demonstration of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Speaking at a conference in the Asmarat area of Cairo, Madbouly emphasized that the initiative was carried out under the directives of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. “This convoy reflects Egypt’s unwavering commitment to supporting our Palestinian brothers in Gaza during these challenging times,” he stated, according to a release from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The convoy, launched under the slogan “Together for Humanity,” consists of 305 trucks carrying more than 4,200 tons of essential aid, including food, medical supplies, and other necessities. Additionally, 11 ambulances have been included to provide critical medical support to those in need.

Egypt’s initiative comes amid growing concerns over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Officials noted that the convoy underscores Egypt’s leadership role in the region and its commitment to alleviating the suffering of civilians.

The aid delivery is expected to play a significant role in addressing urgent needs in Gaza, with further updates on the initiative to follow in the coming days.
