GHQ: Award distribution ceremony in honor of martyrs, veterans held
Pakistan Martyrs Day to be observed on May 25
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir awarded military honors to the officers and men of Pakistan Army for their bravery and outstanding service to the nation during operations.

51 officers were awarded the Star of Distinction (Military), 22 officers and jawans were awarded Basalat Medal and 2 jawans were awarded the United Nations Special Medal. A large number of senior officers of Pakistan Army and families of martyrs participated in the ceremony. “Undoubtedly, we are living in a free atmosphere due to the martyrs’ sense of duty and great sacrifices”.

Army Chief said. “Sacrifices of martyrs and services of Ghazis are our valuable asset and capital of pride, the Army Chief added.
“Pakistan Army as an institution always remembers every person associated with it and their families and our relationship as a family is a proud and exemplary one, he went on to say. “Every soldier and officer of the Pakistan Army puts his duties and responsibilities first, regardless of regional, linguistic, and political prejudices and distinctions.” Army Chief further added.
