Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Arrives in London on Official Visit at Invitation of Prince Edward
London, The Gulf Observer: National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, arrived in London on Saturday as part of an official visit to the United Kingdom.
According to the Watan habarlary news programme, Berdimuhamedov was seen off at Ashgabat International Airport by senior officials prior to his departure. Several hours later, his aircraft landed at an international airport in London.
The visit to the United Kingdom is taking place at the invitation of Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh.
The report further noted that the United Kingdom is among Turkmenistan’s key international partners. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1992, forming the basis for ongoing political and economic engagement.
