His Royal Highness Deputy Sultan of Brunei Graces Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony in Honour of RBAF’s 64th Anniversary

Bolkiah Garrison, The Gulf Observer: In conjunction with the 64th anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony was held yesterday across all suraus under the Ministry of Defence (MinDef), including the Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque. The main commemorative event took place at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison, and was graced by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Deputy Sultan.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was received by Commander of the RBAF Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan and Permanent Secretary at the MinDef Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin.
The solemn ceremony began with the recitation of verses from Surah Ali ‘Imran (verses 121–127) by Private Mohammad Fahmi ‘Izuddin bin Mudim Awang Haji Tamin from the Third Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF).
His Royal Highness joined the congregation in performing the mass Maghrib prayer, led by Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Mujib bin Haji Japar, Acting Director of the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT). The Sunnat Hajat prayer followed, offered for the recovery and continued well-being of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, and for Allah the Almighty’s guidance and protection upon the RBAF in fulfilling its duties.
The ceremony proceeded with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil, and a special doa in conjunction with the 64th anniversary of the RBAF. The mass Isyak prayer concluded the religious observance.
Following the prayers, His Royal Highness attended a commemorative photo session and an evening banquet at the Officers’ Mess, Bolkiah Garrison.
The event was also attended by former deputy ministers of defence, former RBAF commanders, the MinDef permanent secretary, members of the RBAF executive committee, commandants, directors, and senior MinDef officers.
The Doa Kesyukuran ceremony was held to seek divine blessings for the continued strength, unity, and success of the RBAF in realising its national vision and mission.
The official celebration of the RBAF’s 64th anniversary, themed “Together United to Achieve the Nation’s Aspirations”, takes place today at the Royal Brunei Naval Base in Muara.
