Muscat

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Iran and the United States concluded their third round of high-level nuclear talks in Muscat on Saturday, with both sides agreeing to reconvene on May 3 for the next round of discussions.

Following the meeting, Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, remarked, “Saturday’s US-Iran talks identified a shared aspiration to reach an agreement based on mutual respect and enduring commitments. Core principles, objectives, and technical concerns were all addressed. Talks will continue next week with a further high-level meeting provisionally scheduled for May 3.”

The discussions were led by Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US envoy Steve Witkoff, with Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi also participating.

This latest meeting follows two earlier sessions in Oman and Italy over the past two weeks, as both nations work towards a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions on Tehran.
