Iran Reopens Major Airports Following Security and Safety Reviews

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran announced the resumption of operations at major airports across the country, including Mehrabad International Airport, Imam Khomeini International Airport, and airports located in the northern, eastern, western, and southern regions. This move follows extensive coordination among aviation industry stakeholders and a series of inter-agency meetings, culminating in the approval of the Civil Aviation Organization Coordination Committee.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Civil Aviation Organization, the decision to resume operations was made after comprehensive security and safety assessments, taking into account the current conditions of the country.
As per the announced schedule, domestic and international flights will now operate from all airports nationwide, except for Isfahan and Tabriz airports, between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. local time.
Authorities also confirmed that Isfahan and Tabriz airports will be reintegrated into the country’s air transport network as soon as the necessary infrastructure preparations are completed and no additional restrictions remain in place.
The Civil Aviation Organization assured the public that all measures are being taken to ensure the safety and efficiency of flight services for passengers, reaffirming the country’s commitment to restoring normal air traffic operations in a secure manner.
