Iran, Serbia to Feature Iranian Figures in Serbian Textbooks
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran’s Education Minister Alireza Kazemi and Serbia’s Ambassador to Iran, Damir Kovacevic, convened in Tehran to discuss strengthening bilateral educational and cultural ties. During the meeting, both sides agreed to include the names of renowned Iranian figures in Serbian students’ textbooks, reflecting the deepening collaboration between the two nations.
Minister Kazemi highlighted the numerous shared values and commonalities between Iran and Serbia, emphasizing their longstanding interactions in political, economic, cultural, and educational fields. He underscored Serbia’s significance as a strategic partner in economic engagements, according to a statement by Iran’s Education Ministry on Sunday.
Ambassador Kovacevic lauded the robust political relations between Tehran and Belgrade, describing them as being at a “very good level.” He expressed Serbia’s readiness to further deepen ties with Iran and pointed out promising opportunities to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement to incorporate Iranian cultural heritage into Serbian educational materials marks a significant step in strengthening cultural diplomacy and fostering mutual understanding between the two nations.
