Jordan Intercepts Three Missiles Fired from Iran, No Casualties Reported
Amman, The Gulf Observer: Jordan’s air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed three missiles launched from Iranian territory after they entered the Kingdom’s airspace overnight, according to a military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army.
The source said the missiles were detected heading toward Jordanian territory, prompting the armed forces to activate the Kingdom’s air defence systems to neutralize the threat before the projectiles could reach their intended destination.
According to the military, the interception operation was carried out successfully without causing any casualties or material damage.
The Jordan Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the Kingdom’s sovereignty and protecting its airspace against any threats, emphasizing that the military remains on high alert to respond to developments that could endanger national security.
The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Jordan continuing to monitor the security situation closely while maintaining its defensive readiness.
