Kazakhstan’s Kulambayeva Clinches W100 Doubles Title in Spain

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan’s rising tennis star Zhibek Kulambayeva claimed the women’s doubles title at the prestigious W100 Gran Canaria-Maspalomas tournament in Spain, adding another significant achievement to her growing international career.
Kulambayeva partnered with Czech player Anna Sisková as the second-seeded duo. In the championship match, they defeated the Czech-Swedish pairing of Dominika Salková and Lisa Zaar in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), after an intense contest lasting one hour and 54 minutes.
The victory is expected to boost Kulambayeva’s position in the WTA doubles rankings, with the Kazakh player projected to climb four places following the addition of valuable ranking points.
The triumph marks another milestone in Kulambayeva’s impressive season, coming shortly after she finished runner-up in the doubles event at the WTA 250 Iași Open in Romania. Her latest success further underlines Kazakhstan’s growing presence on the international women’s tennis circuit.
