Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Bishkek, The Gulf Observer: President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, who is on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, both sides discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation, including trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations, as well as collaboration in energy and transport logistics.
President Japarov reiterated Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Turkmenistan and expressed appreciation for Turkmenistan’s support in ensuring the supply of energy resources. He highlighted the growing potential for transport and logistics cooperation and acknowledged the positive momentum in trade and economic exchanges between the two nations.
Japarov also reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s readiness to engage in multilateral platforms to jointly address regional challenges and threats.
Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov emphasized the significance of President Japarov’s first state visit to Turkmenistan in 2021, which played a pivotal role in advancing Kyrgyz-Turkmen cooperation. He underscored Turkmenistan’s commitment to deepening political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian partnerships, stressing that joint efforts will further enhance fraternal and neighborly relations between the two countries.
Concluding the meeting, President Japarov expressed confidence that Kyrgyz-Turkmen relations will continue to develop on the strong foundation of strategic partnership.
