Leyla Aliyeva Visits Young Beekeeper’s Family in Yevlakh, Reaffirms Support for Eco-Entrepreneurship

Yevlakh, The Gulf Observer: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, visited the family of Suleyman Suleymanov, a participant in the “Young Beekeeper” project, during her trip to Yevlakh on July 1, reaffirming support for youth livelihoods and sustainable rural development.
During the visit, Leyla Aliyeva held a warm meeting with the family, inquiring about their living conditions, beekeeping activities, the progress they have achieved and their future plans. She also joined the family in the cheese-making process at their farm and presented gifts to them.
She was briefed on the beekeeping farm established under the “Young Beekeeper” initiative, including the management of bee colonies, honey production and plans for the farm’s future expansion. In return, the family expressed their gratitude for her continued attention and support and presented her with locally produced beekeeping products.
Suleyman Suleymanov, the project’s participant, is a veteran of Azerbaijan’s 44-day Patriotic War and subsequent anti-terrorist operations. He has been awarded the medals “For the Liberation of Sugovushan,” “Brave Warrior,” and “Participant of the Patriotic War” in recognition of his military service.
Launched in 2021 on the initiative of the IDEA Public Union, the “Young Beekeeper” project is implemented in partnership with the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Employment Agency and the ABAD public legal entity.
The initiative seeks to promote biodiversity conservation, encourage beekeeping as a sustainable eco-entrepreneurship activity, support natural honey production and improve the livelihoods of young families across Azerbaijan through employment and income-generating opportunities.
