Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Health and Social Committee of Majlis Al Shura has praised the Royal orders issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, which allocated OMR 7 million for the establishment of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Care and Rehabilitation Centre.

The committee highlighted that these Royal orders demonstrate the Sultan’s commitment to the welfare of individuals with disabilities. They reflect a keen interest in providing an environment that caters to their needs, helps them achieve independence, and facilitates their integration into society.

In addition, the committee reaffirmed Majlis Al Shura’s dedication to the care of this sector of society.

The committee has conducted several meetings with specialists and officials from civil society organizations, including the Omani Lawyers Association (OLA) and the Oman Energy Association. These meetings were part of its efforts to review the draft law concerning civil establishments.
