Mehriban Aliyeva Meets Russian Federation Council Chairwoman

Baku, The Gulf Observer: First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, met with the visiting Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko.

During the meeting, Mehriban Aliyeva warmly welcomed Matviyenko, expressing confidence that her visit would further enhance inter-parliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.

In response, Matviyenko conveyed her gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended by the First Vice-President. She highlighted the significance of inter-parliamentary relations, stressing that reciprocal visits of parliamentary delegations play a crucial role in strengthening the friendly ties between the two countries.

Both leaders emphasized that the relationship between Azerbaijan and Russia is founded on a strategic partnership and took the opportunity to discuss further opportunities for bilateral cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
