Min Aung Hlaing Attends Europe-Asia Economic Forum in Belarus; Discusses Economic Cooperation with Novosibirsk Governor

Minsk, The Gulf Observer: At the invitation of Mr. Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko, President of Belarus and Rotating Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Myanmar’s high-level delegation, led by Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, departed Myanmar yesterday morning to participate in the 4th Europe-Asia Economic Forum (EEF 2025) in Minsk.
The delegation arrived in the evening at Tolmachevo Airport in Novosibirsk, where they received a warm welcome from Governor Mr. Travnikov Andrey Aleksandrovich and other senior officials.
During their stopover in Novosibirsk, Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing held cordial discussions with Governor Travnikov, focusing on strengthening economic cooperation between Myanmar and the Novosibirsk Region of the Russian Federation. Key topics included expanding ties with ASEAN member states, enhancing air travel connectivity, and promoting the tourism sector.
Both sides expressed a shared commitment to broadening bilateral collaboration. The meeting concluded with an exchange of commemorative gifts between the Myanmar Prime Minister and the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region.
Following the engagements, the Myanmar delegation proceeded from Tolmachevo Airport to the Republic of Belarus to participate in the Europe-Asia Economic Forum, where high-level dialogues on economic integration, investment, and multilateral cooperation are scheduled to take place.
