Myanmar’s Min Aung Hlaing Visits Earthquake Victims at PyinOoLwin Tatmadaw Hospital

PyinOoLwin, The Gulf Observer: Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and senior officials, visited Tatmadaw members, Myanmar Police Force (MPF) personnel, and civilians receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the recent Mandalay earthquake at the Tatmadaw Hospital in PyinOoLwin yesterday morning.
During the visit, the Senior General and his wife extended heartfelt comfort to the patients, including members of the Sangha injured during the quake. They inquired about their medical conditions and provided nutritious food items and cash offerings for the traditional nine requisites.
The Senior General also spoke individually with injured Tatmadaw personnel who were wounded while performing defense and security duties, offering words of encouragement, financial assistance, and essential supplies. MPF members and their families were similarly comforted and supported.
The delegation also visited the hospital’s special intensive care unit, where a venerable Sayadaw and two civilians are being treated, presenting them with nutritional support and financial aid. At the maternity and child ward, the Senior General and his wife visited two injured nuns, providing food and monetary donations to aid their recovery.
According to hospital reports, Tatmadaw medical facilities across affected regions have been actively providing care to both military personnel and civilians. Thus far, they have treated 15 members of the Sangha, staff, and their families as well as 5,016 civilians on an outpatient basis. Additionally, 51 members of the Sangha, staff, and families, along with 476 civilians, continue to receive intensive medical care for serious injuries.
The visit underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to supporting all those affected by the natural disaster, ensuring both physical healing and emotional well-being during recovery.
