Oman Sultan Receives Iranian Parliamentary Speaker, Foreign Minister; Discusses Iran-US Negotiations

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq received the Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly and Iranian Foreign Minister at Al Baraka Palace on Tuesday, where the two sides reviewed the latest developments in negotiations between Iran and the United States.

According to the Oman News Agency, the Iranian delegation briefed the Omani leader on the various tracks of the ongoing talks and provided updates on recent diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving outstanding issues.

During the meeting, Sultan Haitham listened to the Iranian side’s explanations regarding the progress of the negotiations and reaffirmed Oman’s support for dialogue and peaceful solutions. He expressed hope that the talks would succeed in achieving a comprehensive and lasting settlement of unresolved matters.

The discussions focused on several key issues, including the resumption and uninterrupted flow of safe maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranian nuclear issue, and other related regional and international challenges.

The meeting underscored Oman’s continued role in promoting diplomacy and regional stability, with both sides emphasizing the importance of dialogue in addressing complex issues and fostering peace and security in the region.
