President Emomali Rahmon: Tajik Metallurgical Plant Symbolizes Nation’s Growing Economic Strength

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has described the construction of the Tajik Metallurgical Plant as a symbol of the country’s growing economic strength, emphasizing its strategic importance for industrial development and long-term economic progress.
Speaking during a meeting with officials, community leaders of Sughd Province, and representatives of the country’s industrial sector in Bobojon Ghafurov District on July 9, President Rahmon said Tajikistan is entering a significant new phase in the development of its industrial sector.
The President noted that the establishment of the Tajik Metallurgical Plant would ensure the efficient utilization of the country’s mineral resources, promote the production of high value-added industrial products, create thousands of new jobs, and strengthen the national economy.
He stressed that the project would also provide a solid foundation for increasing exports of domestically manufactured industrial products while enhancing the competitiveness of Tajikistan’s economy in regional and international markets.
President Rahmon highlighted that the country’s industrial achievements have been made possible by lasting peace, political stability, national unity, and the independence of Tajikistan.
He further stated that the launch of such a major industrial facility ahead of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s State Independence reflects the nation’s rising economic potential and the success of the government’s constructive development policies.
Expressing confidence in the future, President Rahmon said the people of Tajikistan, particularly the residents of Sughd Province, along with engineers, builders, industrial specialists, entrepreneurs, and workers, would continue to make valuable contributions toward achieving the country’s strategic development goals.
