President Erdoğan and Hungarian PM Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to review bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and global developments, according to a statement issued by Türkiye’s Communications Directorate.

During the call, held on Saturday, President Erdoğan reaffirmed Türkiye’s strong commitment to advancing cooperation with Hungary in all areas. He highlighted that the forthcoming meetings of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council and the Joint Consultation Mechanism would play a pivotal role in deepening the already robust partnership between the two nations.

In a gesture of personal warmth, President Erdoğan also extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Orban during the call.

The two leaders emphasized the importance of continued collaboration in political, economic, and cultural fields, underscoring their shared vision for a dynamic and mutually beneficial partnership.

Türkiye and Hungary formally elevated their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership in 2013 with the establishment of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. Since then, the relationship has witnessed consistent growth, marked by enhanced dialogue, trade cooperation, and cultural exchanges.

Saturday’s conversation further reaffirmed the strategic alignment between Ankara and Budapest amid a shifting global landscape, with both leaders committed to working closely on key international issues of mutual interest.
