President Ilham Aliyev Announces New State Program to Revitalize Agriculture Sector

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, stated that previously adopted programs and decisions had created a major turning point in the country’s development, while acknowledging concerns over the recent stagnation in the agricultural sector.
Speaking at a meeting dedicated to agricultural issues in Baku, President Aliyev said that the slowdown observed in agricultural development over the past few years had prompted the government to take further action.
“The adopted programs and decisions have brought about a major turning point. However, the stagnation observed in the development of agriculture over the past few years naturally gives us pause for thought. For this purpose, a State Program has been prepared and will be adopted,” the President stated.
President Aliyev emphasized the importance of strengthening the agriculture sector, describing it as a key component of the country’s economic development and food security strategy.
The planned State Program is expected to focus on revitalizing agricultural growth, improving productivity, and supporting sustainable rural development across Azerbaijan.
