President of Turkmenistan to Pay Working Visit to Mongolia on June 1–2, 2025

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will undertake a working visit to Mongolia on June 1–2, 2025, as announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov during an online government meeting held on Thursday.

According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the visit will feature the signing of a number of bilateral documents aimed at reinforcing the legal framework of Turkmen-Mongolian cooperation. The two sides are expected to deepen engagement across political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian domains.

As part of the visit, the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, will host a Turkmen-Mongolian business forum, an exhibition of Turkmen carpets, displays of traditional decorative and applied arts, and a cultural program showcasing artists from both countries. These events are intended to strengthen mutual understanding and promote people-to-people ties.

President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of advancing constructive and mutually beneficial relations with foreign nations. He instructed relevant officials to ensure that all planned events during the visit are organized at a high level and reflect the spirit of Turkmenistan’s diplomacy.

Turkmenistan and Mongolia established diplomatic relations in 1992. Currently, 11 bilateral agreements are in force between the two countries, covering various fields of cooperation. The upcoming visit is expected to further solidify these ties and open new avenues for collaboration.
