President Prabowo Reviews Strategic Military Development Programs with TNI Leadership

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: President Prabowo Subianto has convened a high-level meeting with senior officials of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta to review strategic programs implemented under military supervision.
The meeting was attended by top TNI leadership, including Commander General Agus Subiyanto and Deputy Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, alongside Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief Muhammad Herindra, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the session also included the Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali, and Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Mohammad Tony Harjono.
During the meeting, President Prabowo received updates on a range of strategic programs assigned to the TNI aimed at supporting equitable development and improving living standards across Indonesia.
Military officials briefed the President on progress in the electrification program in Papua, which has now reached more than 200 villages, primarily in remote highland regions.
The Commander of the TNI also reported on the Garuda Suspension Bridge initiative, designed to improve connectivity in rural areas, with nearly 2,000 locations already benefiting from the program.
On the issue of clean water access, the Indonesian Army has installed pipeline systems and drilled wells in approximately 2,000 locations nationwide, benefiting around one million residents.
The military leadership also highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance personnel welfare, ensuring improved living conditions for TNI soldiers while maintaining operational readiness.
Officials emphasized that these initiatives reflect the TNI’s broader role in supporting national development objectives, particularly in expanding infrastructure, improving regional connectivity, and delivering essential services to remote communities across the country.
