President Tokayev Meets International Organization for Russian Language Secretary-General Natalia Bocharova

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Secretary-General of the International Organization for the Russian Language Natalia Bocharova at the Akorda presidential residence, with discussions focusing on the organization’s development and cooperation in education, science and culture.

During the meeting, President Tokayev emphasized the importance of establishing the International Organization for the Russian Language as a modern, authoritative and effectively functioning institution dedicated to strengthening humanitarian ties among its member states.

The two sides discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture. President Tokayev stressed that the interests of all member states should be taken into balanced consideration when implementing joint projects.

The Kazakh President also underscored the role of language in fostering communication and mutual understanding, noting that language should serve to bring people together rather than become subject to politicization.

In turn, Natalia Bocharova expressed gratitude to President Tokayev for his support for the organization’s activities and briefed him on plans for its further development.

The meeting highlighted Kazakhstan’s engagement with the organization in promoting humanitarian cooperation and strengthening cultural, educational and scientific ties among participating countries.
