Qatar Condemns Israeli Assault on Jenin and Urges International Action
Doha, The Gulf Observer: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli assault on the city of Jenin and its refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, which has resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
In a statement, Qatar described the attacks as an extension of the continuous and egregious crimes committed by the occupation in the Gaza Strip. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized these actions as a blatant violation of international legitimacy resolutions.
The Ministry emphasized the urgent need for the international community to provide necessary protection for the Palestinian people and to hold Israel accountable for its severe violations of international humanitarian law. It called for an end to Israel’s blatant breaches of international conventions and urged for enforcement of respect for these agreements.
Qatar reaffirmed its firm stance on the justice of the Palestinian cause, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the country’s commitment to supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
