Russia Hosts Persian Poetry Night to Strengthen Cultural Ties with Iran
Moscow, The Gulf Observer: Russia hosted a Persian poetry night in its capital on Tuesday, emphasizing cultural exchange to bolster relations between the two nations. The event, held at the BRICS Plus media center in Moscow, showcased Iran’s rich literary and musical heritage through an engaging program.
The evening featured a short film about Iran, an educational lecture on Persian literature, music, and translation, and readings of works by renowned Iranian poets, including Saadi.
Masoud Ahmadvand, Iran’s cultural attaché to Russia, attended the gathering and underscored the role of cultural activities in fostering bilateral cooperation. “Humanitarian efforts such as these are integral to strengthening partnerships in other fields,” Ahmadvand said, highlighting the growing collaboration between Iran and Russia under the BRICS framework.
Ahmadvand also noted that cultural exchanges, such as Persian poetry nights, play a crucial role in promoting mutual understanding and deepening ties between the two nations.
BRICS Plus, an extension of the original BRICS alliance of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, seeks to expand partnerships with emerging economies and developing countries with shared goals. Events like this poetry night reflect the broader vision of enhancing global cultural and economic collaboration within the BRICS framework.
