Sargodha, The Gulf Observer: In a significant step toward strengthening Pakistan–China economic relations, a high-level delegation from the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), accompanied by senior representatives from eight major Chinese chambers and associations, visited Sargodha to explore investment prospects across key sectors.
The delegation was warmly hosted by the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) under the leadership of its President, Khawaja Yasir Qayyum. The visit was facilitated by Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Director of Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited, China.
The event featured B2B meetings between Chinese delegates and members of Sargodha’s dynamic business community, covering sectors such as mining, agriculture, solar energy, industrial equipment manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and food processing. These engagements provided a valuable platform for both sides to identify areas of mutual interest and foster new commercial linkages.
A key outcome of the visit was the mutual agreement to establish a “China Investment Window”, which will be jointly managed by the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited. This initiative is aimed at facilitating future cooperation, business matchmaking, and investment facilitation.
Mr. David Chu, CEO of Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited, expressed gratitude to the hosts, praising the hospitality and commitment of Sargodha’s business community. He emphasized the strong goodwill and friendship between the people of Pakistan and China.
The event also saw participation from Mr. Hamid Hameed, former Minister of State for Petroleum and a prominent political figure from Sargodha, who played an active role in promoting Pakistan–China relations. Prof. Dr. Tahir Mumtaz Awan, Director of the China Study Center at the University of Sargodha, also attended, highlighting the academic support for bilateral ties.
