Saudi, Italian Culture Ministers Meet in Venice to Strengthen Bilateral Cultural Cooperation

Venice, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan met with Italian Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli in Venice on Thursday, on the sidelines of the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. The meeting underscored the growing momentum of cultural cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Italian Republic.
According to a statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Culture, both ministers reaffirmed their countries’ mutual commitment to enhancing bilateral collaboration in the cultural sector. They praised the joint efforts undertaken to monitor and implement cultural initiatives and emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue and partnership in promoting shared values through cultural exchange.
The discussions also spotlighted a number of significant recent initiatives that exemplify the strengthening partnership between the two nations. These include the collaboration between the Saudi Museums Commission and Triennale Milano for the establishment of a design museum in Saudi Arabia, the partnership between the Saudi Architecture and Design Commission and Salone del Mobile to host an exhibition in the Kingdom, as well as the Saudi Ministry of Culture’s planned cultural programming in Venice in 2025.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the profound cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and Italy, positioning culture as a long-standing bridge of mutual understanding, creativity, and enduring cooperation.
