Sheikh Abdullah, Ed Miliband Review UAE-UK Relations and Regional Developments

London, The Gulf Observer: UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Ed Miliband, in London to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation across a range of strategic sectors.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed issues of mutual interest and explored opportunities to deepen collaboration in support of the development priorities of both the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing the longstanding partnership between the two friendly nations.

At the outset of the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah congratulated Ed Miliband on his appointment as the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs. He wished him success in his new role and expressed his eagerness to work closely with him to further advance bilateral cooperation for the benefit and prosperity of both countries.

Sheikh Abdullah underscored the strength of UAE-UK relations, highlighting the mutual commitment to expanding cooperation across various fields and reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two nations.

The discussions also focused on the latest developments in the Middle East, with both sides exchanging views on regional issues and emphasizing the importance of strengthening regional and international efforts to promote peace, security, and lasting stability.
