Tanzila Narbayeva of Uzbekistan Meets with EU Special Representative to Strengthen Bilateral Relations
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, held a significant meeting with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Terhi Hakala, to discuss the expanding partnership between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the stable positive dynamics in their bilateral relations, which are advancing to a new level of cooperation. The discussions covered key areas, including inter-parliamentary collaboration, human rights protection, security, environmental conservation, and the promotion of gender equality.
Special emphasis was placed on empowering women within the framework of the regional platform, the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia. The importance of the Asian Women’s Forum was underscored as a crucial international platform for sharing experiences and promoting gender equality across the region.
The two parties also addressed the significance of strengthening cooperation between the Central Asian states and the European Union, recognizing regional collaboration as essential for ensuring stability and sustainable development.
Concluding the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain an active dialogue and jointly implement planned initiatives to deepen the partnership between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
This meeting reaffirms Uzbekistan’s commitment to fostering strong international partnerships and advancing regional cooperation for mutual prosperity.
