Turkmen President Reviews Modernization and Construction Work at Archman Sanatorium
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the Archman Sanatorium in Baherden district of Ahal province to review progress on the construction of a new treatment center and modernization of existing facilities, Turkmen state media reported Wednesday.
During the visit, the President was briefed on the ongoing construction and modernization work, which is currently in its final stage. Officials presented plans and designs outlining the status of the new complex, as well as equipment and furnishings to be installed in the new and renovated facilities.
The development includes a new 400-bed sanatorium building, modernization of Buildings A and B, a dining hall, phytobar and teahouse, a 300-seat conference hall, a mineral water drinking facility, children’s playrooms, a gym, a therapeutic water treatment facility and a four-story parking garage.
President Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant officials to ensure that all construction and modernization works are completed on schedule and in accordance with high quality standards. He also stressed the importance of thorough preparations for the official opening ceremony of the new complex.
The President inspected rooms in the new 400-bed building and reviewed their equipment and facilities for patients. He also visited the SPA section, including rooms designated for mineral water treatments, hydrotherapy, mud therapy and aromatherapy.
During the visit, President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to make effective use of the sanatorium’s treatment facilities and to conduct scientific research into the mineral water resources of its springs. He also highlighted the importance of continuously improving the professional qualifications of medical personnel and expanding the use of digital technologies in the healthcare and treatment system.
The President further instructed officials to maintain close oversight of landscaping across the sanatorium grounds, environmental conditions and the facilities provided for visitors to walk, exercise and engage in recreational activities.
The modernization of Archman Sanatorium is expected to enhance its medical and recreational facilities and further strengthen its role as a major health and wellness destination in Turkmenistan.
