Turkmenbashy Mosque Hosts Sadaqa to Celebrate Independence and Halk Maslahaty Session

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: A sadaqa ceremony was held at the Turkmenbashy Spiritual Mosque on Wednesday to honor the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the successful conclusion of the Halk Maslahaty session. National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the event, marking a significant occasion for the country.
The commemoration began with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Serdar Berdimuhamedov laying flowers at the memorial in the mausoleum adjacent to the mosque. This was followed by the Mufti of Turkmenistan leading the Ayat-Tovir prayer in memory of Turkmenistan’s first President, Saparmyrat Niyazov, according to official state media.
During their visit, the national leaders took time to review the architectural features of the recently renovated mosque. The mosque, which has a capacity of 10,000, underwent substantial modernization, utilizing high-quality materials in its exterior and interior, a project supported by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Following the sadaqa, the National Leader, who also serves as Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, and President Berdimuhamedov extended warm farewells to the attendees before departing.
The event underscored Turkmenistan’s commitment to preserving its spiritual and cultural heritage while celebrating the country’s independence and ongoing progress.
