In its national statement delivered during the session, Turkmenistan reiterated its strong commitment to the objectives and principles of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), noting the significance of the 30th anniversary of the Treaty’s opening for signature as well as the country’s accession to the landmark agreement.
The statement highlighted Turkmenistan’s active cooperation with the CTBTO, including the operation of the International Monitoring System’s seismic station PS44 “Alibek” and ongoing efforts to enhance national monitoring and verification capabilities in support of the Treaty’s implementation.
