Luxembourg, The Gulf Observer: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, met with Luc Frieden during an official working visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, where both sides held comprehensive discussions on bilateral relations and regional developments.

The two leaders reviewed the state of UAE–Luxembourg relations and explored opportunities to further enhance cooperation across multiple sectors, including the economy, trade, and investment. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding collaboration in areas aligned with their respective development priorities, aiming to promote sustainable economic growth and shared prosperity.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed commended the growing momentum in bilateral ties between the two countries, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to strengthening advanced and mutually beneficial relations with Luxembourg. He highlighted that such cooperation supports both nations’ efforts toward comprehensive development and long-term economic stability.

The discussions also covered key regional and international issues of mutual concern, with both sides exchanging views on recent developments in the Middle East and beyond.

In particular, the talks addressed the repercussions of what the UAE described as unprovoked terrorist attacks carried out by Iran against civilian sites and facilities within the UAE using missiles and drones. Luc Frieden reaffirmed Luxembourg’s solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and strongly condemned the attacks. In response, Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation for Luxembourg’s supportive stance and reiterated that the UAE continues to ensure the safety and security of all residents and visitors in the country.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, and Mohamed Ismail Al Sahlawi, underscoring the importance both countries place on advancing their diplomatic engagement.
