UAE Launches Strategic Track of National Agentic AI Project to Transform Government Operations
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: More than 100 federal government officials have participated in a workshop marking the launch of the strategic track of the UAE’s Agentic AI Project, a national initiative aimed at transforming 50 percent of government operations, services and tasks into agentic artificial intelligence-driven models within two years.
Organised by the National Committee for the Agentic AI Project, the strategic government workstream seeks to integrate advanced AI capabilities across federal operations to enhance policy formulation, strengthen future foresight and improve the efficiency of government decision-making under the UAE Government 4.0 framework.
The initiative is structured around seven key pillars: strategy and projects; foresight and strategic intelligence; policies; structures and governance; government performance; global competitiveness; and innovation in government work.
The workshop focused on establishing implementation priorities and timelines, developing frameworks for classifying government tasks, and creating mechanisms to strengthen cooperation and integration among federal entities while reducing operational duplication.
The initiative is guided by the principle “human leads, AI enables,” emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence as a tool to support human-led governance, decision-making and public-sector innovation.
Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, said the workshop represented the operational beginning of efforts to deploy AI models across government activities and strengthen the UAE’s position as a global leader in future-ready governance.
The strategic track forms part of the UAE’s broader efforts to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across the public sector and establish more efficient, innovative and forward-looking government services.
