Algerian President Congratulates Women’s National Team on Historic World Cup Qualification

Algiers, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune has congratulated Algeria’s women’s national football team on its historic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil and advancement to the semi-finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
In a message posted on his personal social media account on Saturday, President Tebboune praised the team’s achievement, describing the qualification as a milestone for Algerian football.
“Congratulations to the ladies of the national football team on their historic achievement of qualifying for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil, securing their spot in the African Championship,” the President said.
He congratulated the players and the Algerian people on what he described as an outstanding sporting achievement, while also commending the technical and administrative staff whose efforts contributed to the team’s success.
“Congratulations to you and to Algeria on this outstanding sporting excellence,” President Tebboune said, extending his appreciation to everyone involved in the historic campaign.
He wished the team continued success in the remainder of the tournament and its forthcoming international campaign, saying: “Wishing you all success, Allah willing, in the remainder of the journey.”
