UAE Names 15-Member Squad for Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Esha Oza will lead a 15-member United Arab Emirates squad at the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026, which will begin on August 28 at Dubai International Stadium.
The tournament, running through September 13, will mark the first occasion the UAE hosts the continental women’s cricket event, with all matches scheduled to be played under lights.
The hosts have been drawn in Group B alongside former champions Bangladesh, Indonesia and defending champions Sri Lanka. The UAE will begin its campaign against Sri Lanka on August 29, before facing Indonesia on September 4 and Bangladesh on September 8.
All matches will start at 6:30 pm local time. The semi-finals are scheduled for September 10 and 11, while the final will be played on September 13.
The UAE and Thailand secured their places in the main tournament after qualifying through the 2026 Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier Women’s Cup, held in Malaysia in June.
The UAE’s hosting of the tournament represents a significant milestone for women’s cricket in the country and provides the national team with an opportunity to compete on home soil against some of Asia’s leading sides.
