UAE President, Italian Defence Minister Discuss Strengthening Security Cooperation and Regional Stability

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received His Excellency Guido Crosetto, Minister of Defence of the Italian Republic, to discuss bilateral relations and regional security developments.

During the meeting, Crosetto conveyed the greetings of Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy, along with her wishes for the UAE’s continued security and prosperity.

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Italy, particularly in the fields of defence and security, as both sides explored avenues to further strengthen strategic collaboration.

The two sides also reviewed developments in the Middle East and their implications for regional and international stability, including the impact on maritime security. Crosetto reiterated Italy’s condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law that undermine regional peace and stability.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei, along with several senior officials.

The engagement reflects the growing strategic partnership between the UAE and Italy, particularly in addressing evolving regional security challenges and promoting stability.
