Uzbek Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva Meets U.S. Representative Carol Miller to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Carol Miller, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States.

During their discussions, the parties reviewed Uzbekistan’s large-scale reforms and the country’s ongoing positive transformations in state and societal life. They also explored avenues for further strengthening strategic cooperation between the two nations.

A key focus of the meeting was the expansion of trade and economic interaction, including the exchange of agricultural expertise and the implementation of investment projects. Additionally, both sides engaged in discussions on enhancing collaboration in energy, education, healthcare, women’s rights, and gender equality.

The role of parliamentary diplomacy was also emphasized, with discussions centering on the establishment of friendship groups and the development of interregional dialogues to further cement bilateral relations.

Following the meeting, both parties reached agreements to advance interparliamentary cooperation and strengthen ties between Uzbekistan and the United States, reaffirming their commitment to deepening diplomatic and economic partnerships.
