Uzbekistan Welcomes Bosnia and Herzegovina's First Ambassador

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, officially received the credentials of Ivan Orlic, the first Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Uzbekistan, marking a significant milestone in bilateral relations.

During the ceremony, Minister Saidov expressed Uzbekistan’s appreciation for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s commitment to strengthening ties between the two nations. “We appreciate the candid interest in promoting more dynamic ties between our two nations. Indeed, we see many opportunities for fruitful collaboration both in bilateral and multilateral formats, especially in the economic dimension,” said Saidov. He also extended his best wishes to Ambassador Orlic for a successful tenure in Uzbekistan.

Bilateral Relations

Uzbekistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina established diplomatic relations on May 14, 1996. The appointment of the first ambassador signifies a renewed focus on enhancing cooperation across various sectors, with economic collaboration identified as a key area of mutual interest.

The two nations are expected to explore opportunities for partnership in trade, investment, and multilateral initiatives, leveraging the potential for growth in both regions.
