Vietnamese PM to Attend 3rd UN Ocean Conference and Pay Official Visits to Estonia and Sweden

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, accompanied by his spouse and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam, will attend the Third United Nations Ocean Conference in France and pay official visits to Estonia and Sweden from June 5 to 14, according to a communiqué issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.

The trip is being made at the invitation of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and President of France Emmanuel Macron, as well as Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal and Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson.

While in France, Prime Minister Chính is scheduled to carry out several bilateral engagements alongside his participation in the UN Ocean Conference. The Third UN Ocean Conference is a significant international platform aimed at advancing the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14, which focuses on the conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas, and marine resources for sustainable development.

This visit underscores Vietnam’s commitment to multilateral cooperation and sustainable development, particularly in addressing global challenges related to marine ecosystems and climate change.
