4,000 Mu’takifs Arrive at Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah for the Final Ten Days of Ramadan

Madinah, The Gulf Observer: The Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah has welcomed 4,000 male and female mu’takifs from 120 countries as the final ten days of Ramadan began. This marks the commencement of the Itikaf service, with the capacity allocated for worshippers this year.
Mu’takifs have taken their places in designated worship areas, including the Western roof, which can be accessed via stairs No. 6 and 10, as well as the north-eastern section and entrance gates 24 and 25A. The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has ensured their stay is smooth and comfortable by providing a comprehensive range of services.
To support the mu’takifs during this period of seclusion for worship, the authority has established dedicated service desks, luggage lockers, medical clinics, and first aid stations. Translation services are also available in various languages to assist worshippers from different regions.
In addition, the authority has arranged for religious lessons and full hospitality services for iftar, dinner, and suhoor, ensuring that the mu’takifs can focus on their spiritual practices. Mobile charging stations and personal care kits have also been provided to further enhance the comfort of the worshippers.
To facilitate easy access to designated worship areas, each mu’takif is provided with a bracelet, which not only grants them access but also helps them benefit from the services available, contributing to an organized and spiritually enriching experience during these sacred final days of Ramadan.
