Ayatollah Khamenei Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Sovereignty Amid Global Condemnation of Trump’s Gaza Proposal
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has reiterated that all of Palestine, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, rightfully belongs to the Palestinian people.
“All of Palestine, from the river to the sea, belongs to the Palestinian people,” read a post shared by the Leader’s official website, KHAMENEI.IR, on social media platforms. The statement was published in multiple languages on Thursday, underscoring Iran’s unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause.
The message came two days after former U.S. President Donald Trump proposed a controversial plan for the relocation of Palestinians in Gaza. During a joint press briefing with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, Trump stated that the United States would “take over” and “own” the Gaza Strip after forcibly displacing its Palestinian population.
The proposal has drawn widespread condemnation from governments, human rights organizations, and international bodies, with many denouncing it as a violation of Palestinian sovereignty and international law.
