Ashgabat to Host 24th Universal International Exhibition and Conference “Ak Şäherim Aşgabat”

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The 24th Universal International Exhibition and Conference Ak Şäherim Aşgabat will be held in the capital city of Turkmenistan on May 24–25, in celebration of City Day. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Baymyrat Annamammedov, reported on the ongoing preparations during a Cabinet meeting chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Saturday.
The event is set to bring together representatives from Turkmen and international companies, government ministries and agencies, as well as entrepreneurs and business leaders. According to official Turkmen media, the exhibition will spotlight Ashgabat’s modern architectural landscape, showcase the capital’s economic progress, and highlight the latest technological innovations.
In parallel with the exhibition, a conference will be held featuring bilateral meetings between Turkmen sectoral organizations and foreign companies. These discussions aim to promote business partnerships, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and strengthen international cooperation across various sectors.
As part of the celebrations, a special ceremony will be held to present commemorative gifts from the President of Turkmenistan to distinguished workers in the construction sector in recognition of their contributions to the country’s urban development.
Cultural performances by local creative groups are also scheduled to enhance the festive atmosphere surrounding the event.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underscored the significance of ensuring a high standard of organization for both the exhibition and the accompanying cultural festivities. He issued specific directives to Deputy Prime Minister Annamammedov to oversee and coordinate preparations effectively.
During the Cabinet session, several domestic policy matters were also discussed, reflecting the government’s ongoing focus on national development initiatives.
