Uzbekistan Underscores Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation at EXPO 2025 Osaka: Saida Mirziyoyeva

Osaka, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan’s participation in EXPO 2025 Osaka has been marked by a strong emphasis on sustainable development, innovation, and intercultural dialogue, reflecting the country’s long-term strategic priorities. This was underscored by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during her welcoming address at the opening events of the Uzbekistan National Pavilion.
In her remarks, Mirziyoyeva stressed the importance of cultivating future generations grounded in clean energy and united by cultural heritage. “It is important to us that young people draw their energy from pure sources, and that culture serves to unite rather than divide,” she stated, affirming Uzbekistan’s commitment to blending traditional values with forward-looking ideas.
The highlight of Uzbekistan’s cultural program was a performance by the National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of renowned conductor Alibek Kabdurakhmanov. The gala concert drew wide acclaim from the Japanese audience, many of whom are already familiar with the work of Uzbek musicians.
The evening culminated in the world premiere of Celestial Dance / Amatobu Kagura, a composition created as a musical symbol of the enduring friendship and cultural cooperation between Japan and Uzbekistan. The piece, blending artistic elements from both nations, served as a resonant representation of the EXPO’s overarching theme of harmony and innovation.
Uzbekistan’s dynamic presence at EXPO 2025 Osaka reinforces its global image as a nation embracing progress while honoring its cultural heritage.
