Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan Discuss Strategic Partnership and Economic Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov held a meeting with Edil Baisalov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, to advance bilateral relations and explore new areas of cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the mutual trust and close personal ties between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan as a key driving force behind the deepening of interstate relations and the elevation of bilateral cooperation to the level of a strategic partnership.

The discussions covered a wide range of sectors, with a focus on expanding cooperation in trade, economy, investment, transport, and humanitarian affairs. The two leaders expressed mutual interest in tapping into the untapped potential of bilateral economic relations.

The officials also exchanged views on the upcoming meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in Economic and Humanitarian Spheres, scheduled to be held in Baku later this year. The commission meeting will be co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Sharifov and is expected to provide a comprehensive platform to assess progress and chart new directions for collaboration.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing regional cooperation based on shared interests and mutual respect.
