UAE Defence Undersecretary Visits Sacheon Air Base in Republic of Korea to Boost Defence Cooperation
Sacheon, The Gulf Observer: Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, visited Sacheon Air Base in the Republic of Korea as part of his official trip to the country.
During the visit, Lieutenant General Al-Alawi inspected the prototype of the KF-21 aircraft and took part in a joint flight aboard an FA-50 fighter jet alongside General Lee Young-Soo, Chief of Staff of the Korean Air Force. The flight formed part of a demonstration highlighting the advanced national capabilities of domestically manufactured Korean aircraft.
This engagement is a key component of Lieutenant General Al-Alawi’s participation in a high-level Emirati delegation programme, which includes a series of strategic meetings aimed at strengthening defence cooperation and fostering the exchange of expertise in areas of mutual interest.
Earlier in his visit, Lieutenant General Al-Alawi held talks with Ahn Gyu-back, Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Korea, to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral defence relations.
