Iran and Algeria Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Cooperation within International Bodies

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf have underscored the need to further bolster bilateral cooperation within international and multilateral frameworks.
The two top diplomats met on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Jeddah on Monday.
During the talks, the officials exchanged views on enhancing collaboration within international organizations and reviewed the latest regional and global developments. They emphasized the importance of active roles by independent and influential Islamic countries in countering destabilizing trends in the region, with a particular focus on defending the rights of the Palestinian nation across all international forums.
Expressing satisfaction with the current level of political relations, Araghchi and Attaf highlighted the need to further deepen cooperation in economic, commercial, scientific, and cultural spheres, alongside expanding engagement in international institutions and multilateral initiatives.
