Astana, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in collaboration with the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID), has delivered a significant consignment of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan by rail, KazAID reported.

A total of 26 train cars carrying 272 tons and 728 kilograms of humanitarian supplies arrived in Afghanistan. The shipment included tents, sugar, blankets, canned meat, and flour.

Earlier in April 2025, Kazakhstan also dispatched humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan by air, comprising medicines, medical supplies, and personal protective equipment, with a total weight of 3 tons and 396 kilograms.

A statement from KazAID emphasized Kazakhstan’s continued commitment to supporting good-neighborly relations and contributing to stability in the region. “Kazakhstan consistently supports the development of good-neighborly relations and is ready to continue to contribute to ensuring stability in the region,” it read.

The latest delivery underscores Kazakhstan’s ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian support and strengthen regional cooperation with neighboring countries.
